Our 200 hour yoga teacher training is for everyone wanting to learn about the personal process of yoga. It is a journey to discovering the truth and learning to live your best life! It is a personal exploration in discovering the power behind this transformational life-changing practice. Designed to educate, inspire and instill lifelong health and wellness practices, this course teaches each student how to live according to the eight-limbed path. Principles such as kindness, truthfulness, generosity, moderation, non-possessiveness, purity, contentment, self-discipline, self-study and surrender are taught as guidelines for living your yoga both on and off the mat. It is a spiritual path to health, happiness and freedom.

Susan Smith, yoga teacher, guide and author of “The Power of Yoga” has been a dedicated student of yoga on and off the mat since 1997.   With over 29 years of education and experience in exercise physiology, fitness and spiritual awakening, Susan developed a fluid style of yoga founded on her studies in Hatha, Ashtanga and Hot Vinyasa techniques.  Her training includes numerous certifications from master instructors throughout the U.S. Each contributed to her teaching philosophy.  She shares her vision, passion, and practicality with students worldwide.

Learn to teach…

Upon completion of the course requirements, students will receive Yoga Alliance Certification.

Training Overview: This unique, comprehensive program includes 7 weekend module sessions and a fabulous final weekend away on retreat.

4/29/2015 – 5/1/2015 – Retreat @ The Himalayan Institute, Honesdale, PA., 3 pm arrival and departure. Ayurvedic meals and accommodations are included in the tuition cost.


Yoga Training Techniques and Practice: In-depth study of the postures, purpose, benefits, modifications and class structuring. Techniques include: Hatha, Vinyasa, Chair / Limited Mobility and Kids Yoga. Class sequencing and designing classes for specific populations
Anatomy and Physiology: Basics of anatomy, muscular skeletal systems and the functions of connective tissue. Principles of Movement and the kinetic chain.
Teaching Methodology: As living examples of the practice of yoga. The art of assisting the student verbally, directive and with loving-healing touch. Connecting through universal truths.
Philosophy and Spiritual Connection: Anatomy of the Spirit, the Chakras and spiritual energy.
Practicum: Practice teaching and learning the art of hands-on adjustments, observation and assists
Integrating Yoga and Ayurveda
The personal practice of living yoga on and off the mat
The business of yoga, yoga therapy and applications

Standard Program Fee: $2,950 (Plus required textbooks, approximately $50).
Comprehensive Program Fee: $3,750 (Includes everything plus 5 additional specialty workshops and 2 weekly practice classes. MyCAA eligible students must select this option.)
Class size is limited to 12 students and will be filled on a first-come basis.
A non-refundable $500 deposit will reserve your space.

Three Payment Options are available at check out:
1. Standard Program Fee of $2,950 Tuition paid in full receives a 10% discount: $2,655 (single payment at check out)
2. Standard Program Payment Plan, deposit plus (7) monthly payments of $350. Monthly payments will be automatically deducted from the credit card on file the end of every month beginning September 30, 2015.
3. Comprehensive Program Fee paid in full at check out
