Definition of Yoga Therapy:
The IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists)- A process of empowering individuals to progress towards improved health and well being through the application and practices of Yoga Sadhana based. Sadhana means methodical discipline to attain desired knowledge or goal. It's your Personal practice
Goals of Yoga & Therapy:
Yoga- Reduce or eliminate suffering and awaken to our true self/ potential and experience happiness in the present moment.
Yoga Therapy- Reduce / manage the symptoms of suffering. Improve function. and address reoccurrence of a problematic conditions in body, mind and spirit. Move towards greater health and well being. Change your relationship to your condition or diagnosis (you are not your diagnosis).
Working with Christine:
The focus is on you. Together we will develop a program / personal yoga practices suited to your specific needs. We will move towards healing in all areas with the understanding that healing comes from acceptance and tenderness towards yourself. Sessions are offered with a holistic approach to create homeostasis (balance and harmony in your whole being).
Christine offers all of this with through deep listening, understanding, kindness, care, enthusiasm, and humor. She enjoys encouraging people to thrive in life!
